We are all aware of the serious nature of COVID-19 and the impact it has had on all of our lives. Our policies and procedures will likely change to follow the latest advice, we will ensure to keep families updated. We ask all families to raise any questions or concerns regularly as we navigate these times together. We will try our best to follow physical distancing; however, this may not always be possible in 1:1 therapy. We will take every precaution possible to keep your family and our staff safe and to limit the risk of any potential virus spread.
Our commitment to you:
- We will use hand sanitizer our hands and the place we will be sitting
- Any games used will be sanitized before and after use
- A mask, face shield or plexiglass barrier will be used by the therapist when 2 meter distancing is not possible
- We will encourage respiratory etiquette: including covering the mouth and nose during coughing or sneezing with a tissue or a flexed elbow, followed by hand hygiene.
Please notify us immediately if:
- You and/or your child have not travelled from any country outside of Canada, including travel by car, air, bus or train in the past 14 days.

In the event in-person visits are not feasible due to illness or provincial recommendations, services may be offered through Zoom. The school, the family and the therapist will discuss the plan as needed.
For children receiving services in school:
- Students will be asked to wash or sanitize their hands prior to treatment beginning
- Students will use their own set of materials: paper, pens, etc
- We won’t share materials between students
- We will sterilize the tables and chairs at the beginning and at the end of the day, after anyone enters the room, after each session, etc.
- We will use plexiglass if provided or will provide our own
For in-home visits:
- As much as possible, we’d like to be in well ventilated rooms or working on decks/patios outside the home
- Please have your child wash his/her hands prior to going outside for therapy
- Consider placing sunscreen on your child before going outside
